The intelligent Yamaha NTX1 has been designed for the contemporary classical guitarist. The modern body shape and slimmed down neck complete an especially comfortable nylon stringed guitar that will even feel familiar in the hands of electric guitarists. The resonance chamber of the NTX model has been topped with solid spruce to pull definition out of every note and chord while maintaining the classic warmth of a Spanish guitar. This specific balance of sound and playability means that this instrument doesn't just lend itself well to classical pieces or flamenco playing styles, but also to more popular styles of music.

The NTX1: Natural at the Bottom and Top and Tight in the Middle

To make sure that the amplified sound of this electro-acoustic classical guitar retains its natural feel and clarity, Yamaha have fitted it with a piëzo pickup and a built-in microphone. The under-saddle placed pickup exclusively registers the midrange and lower-midrange, so you don't get that sharp, piercing sound that many classical models can suffer from, and the internal microphone picks up the high and low end frequencies as well as the natural airiness and acoustic resonance that completes the overall sound. Supported by an Atmosfeel preamp, the on-stage tone of the NTX1 can be customised by balancing the sound of the mic and pickup and adjusting the bass EQ.
